Celtic new Bhoy Nicolas Kuhn merits Pittodrie start

Nicolas Kuhn deserves a start today ahead of Luis Palma…

Today is game day and a vital one at that. Aberdeen may be in turmoil at the moment after sacking Barry Robson, but that will mean nothing at all when it’s time for kick off this lunchtime.

Most sides usually get a reaction after losing a manager, and the Dons will be no different. There’s also the problem of the cloud that currently hangs over ourselves at the moment, so we don’t know how our players are going to react to our own situation.

It’s imperative we get the three points, nothing less, and to do so we must perform a helluva lot better than we did last Saturday against Ross County at Celtic Park. Of course to do so we must have our best players available on the park. CCV of course is missing for the next three weeks, and with some of our squad still competing at the Asian Cup we’re a bit light on players.

One player in my opinion who warrants a start is Nicolas Kuhn. Granted we haven’t seen much of the German and he’s just arrived, but I’d like to see him handed a start. The player I’d sacrifice for him is Luis Palma. Don’t get me wrong, I think Luis has had a decent start to his Celtic career, but he’s become a bit too comfortable in that left sided forward position.

There’s also his shocking double penalty miss last week that is bound to have unsettled him.

Kuhn is naturally left footed and he has pace and can beat a player, something for all his talents Luis doesn’t have in his locker. So today would be the perfect chance to showcase that. Stars are made in games like these, and it would also give Luis some much needed competition.

You are entitled to your opinion, of course, but then again you haven’t been watching him in training for the past couple of weeks.
