Celtic Park to utilise Glasgow Derby feature against Club Brugge

Celtic face Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League this evening. The Scottish Champions welcome the visitors from Belgium with a full allocation expected to be taken by the away side.

Due to the volume of away fans, Celtic Park will welcome a new feature this evening – the netting that was installed for Glasgow Derby games against Rangers.

The game will provide Celtic and their security partners the opportunity to see the nets in action as the clubs face off in the UCL.

The club made a number of changes to the away end at Celtic Park to ensure safety for an increased away capacity domestically following an accord with Rangers to allow for away fans to return to the game. Regrettably, Rangers were unable to offer Celtic guarantees that the work would be done before Celtic were asked to provide tickets back in September meaning there were no Rangers fans to use the nets as Celtic comfortably won 3-0.
