Celtic set to beat Arsenal and Tottenham to signature of highly rated Wigan attacker

Celtic look set to sign Kyle Joseph, beating competition from Arsenal and Tottenham to sign the promising 19-year-old. The Daily Mail, via Record Sport, are reporting that the Quadruple Treble winners are favourites to seal the deal for the Wigan Athletic forward.

The Scotland U19 had scored five goals in sixteen appearances this season, enjoying a breakthrough with the relegation threatened club.

The cross border rule means that Celtic can sign the player, just paying a small compensation fee. The club have already agreed a deal with Liam Shaw from Sheffield Wednesday, exploiting the rule. Celtic let 19-year-old starlet Cameron Harper leave for New York Red Bulls, making just one appearance for the club.

Celtic are set for a summer overhaul as they look to replace Neil Lennon as manager as well as modernise the footballing department at the club.
