Celtic set to release a fourth kit as Adidas target Christmas market

Celtic are set to release a fourth kit for the 2022/2023 kit, according to a reliable outlet. Adidas have impressed with their kits since they took over from New Balance in 2020, providing striking designs for matchday kits, training wear and other leisurewear. However, it appears they have another kit up their sleeves for this season, despite having already released a home kit, an away kit and a third kit.

According to Footyheadlines, club will be launching the kit in the near future as they look to avoid clashes with existing kits and the author comments that they believe the new kit will be a warm colour.

“The Adidas Celtic 2022-23 fourth shirt would be the first of its kind to be made for the club. In previous years, Celtic have had fourth jerseys, but these were merely the third kit from the year before being put to use to avoid kit clashes.”

“The leaked information would indicate that the Adidas Celtic FC 2022-2023 fourth shirt is unique and would have a proper release. If the current 22-23 kits are anything to go by, then perhaps the fourth shirt will have a contrasting colour scheme to these. A warm colour would make the most sense.”

The manufacturer and club appear to be targeting the Christmas market given the timing of this announcement. However, another factor to consider is how difficult a debut the third top had on its debut against St Mirren.
