Celtic Star included in SPFL Team of the Week

Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi has been included in the cinch SPFL Team of the Week, following his Man of the Match performance against Dundee on Saturday. The Japanese forward was excellent again at Celtic Park in the aftermath of his Ibrox heroics a few weeks previously and his all round display saw him win the Dafabet award as voted for by the fans too.

It was a nervy wait this past weekend to wait and see if he reemerged from the Parkhead tunnel after ushering the medical team from the bench in the aftermath of a coming together with the Dee defenders. His shoulder seemed to be giving him hassle yet again and the full stadium waited on anxiously with baited breath for the attacker to continue playing.

Thankfully, the player did reappear from that tunnel and Brendan Rodgers confirmed he had to have his shoulder popped back into place in his post-match media conference. Celtic will be breathing a sigh of relief that the ex-Vissel Kobe man is fit and available for the De Kuip tonight, as we will need his ninja-like speed and lethal finishing ability if we are to have any chance of picking up points.

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
