Celtic stars Lisa Robertson and Natalie Ross earn Scotland call-up for Euro-Qualifiers

Good to see that two players in Fran Alonso’s exciting Celtic FC Women’s side – midfielder stars Natalie Ross and Lisa Robertson – have earned international recognition, having been today named in  the Scotland squad for the forthcoming games against  Cyprus and Portugal. These two matches will be played this month and will be Scotland’s final  two matches in the UEFA EURO 2022 Qualifying campaign.

Both Celtic FC Women and the side’s manager Fran Alonso have posted messages congratulating Natalie and Lisa on their international call ups.

“Huge congrats to our Natalie Ross and Lisa Robertson on their inclusion in the latest Scotland squad,” Celtic Fc Women tweeted, while manager Fran Alonso added: “Congratulations Lisa and Nats for making the Scotland squad, totally deserved! So proud of you! Great reward to your hard work and fantastic season so far!! Enjoy the experience,” the Celtic manager added.

Scotland travel to Cyprus for the first of the double header which will be played on the island at Larnaca.  The first game is against Cyprus on Friday 19 February and that will be followed by the final qualifying game again Portugal on Tuesday 23 February.

Best of luck to both Natalie and Lisa for these games from all at The Celtic Star!
