Celtic step in to provide assistance to Dundee ahead of Rangers clash

Celtic have stepped in to aid Dundee’s pitch woes amidst concerns for the Dens Park surface. The Scottish Champions have provided the Tayside club with pitch covers to aid the recovery of the surface as rain continues to plague Tony Docherty’s side.

According to The Scotsman, Celtic have come to the aid of their Premiership colleagues in order to assist with the upkeep of their pitch.

There is heavy rain forecasted for the weekend, which has raised anxiety levels among the hierarchy at Dens Park given their various call-offs this year due to the pitch failing to cope with rain.

Dundee host Motherwell on Saturday before facing Rangers at Dens on Wednesday. This is the Ibrox side’s game in hand after the controversial call-off before the International Break. Celtic will be hoping that the Dees can help their title charge by taking something off Rangers.

Celtic face Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday as the title race heats up. Celtic are ahead by one point but Rangers have the game during the week in hand. Rodgers will be hoping to avoid defeat and to take the teams into the split on similar terms.
