Celtic are taking no chances with Cameron Carter-Vickers after the USA Internationalist was pictured leaving the game in a moon boot. The central defender completed 90 minutes but felt his left calf in the second half.
According to Sun Sport, Carter-Vickers was put in the boot by Celtic medical staff as a precaution after picking up a knock against St Mirren.
The defender missed training on Friday sparking fears that he was injured. However, Brendan confirmed he was given a recovery day. It may very be that the player has carried this knock and the club have earmarked the international break to give him the rehab that he needs.
Carter-Vickers was incredible at the back in the 3-0 win over Philippe Clement’s side. The 26-year-old battled with Dessers and strolled it with Liam Scales as Brendan’s side returned to the top of the table.
Meanwhile, Auston Trusty has been called up to the USMNT squad for games against Canada and New Zealand. The left sided central defender signed for the club from Sheffield United in a £6m deal on deadline day.
