Bright Osayi-Samuel has reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement with Turkish side Fenerbahce. According to Turkish outlet Bursa Hakimiyet. Celtic had been heavily linked with a move for the QPR winger, who has been one of the best players for the Loftus Road outfit this year – although was subject of disgusting racial abuse by his own supporters after a missed chance.
The 22-year-old was the subject of a £5m bid from Club Brugge and despite Mark Warburton accepting the offer, the player decided to reject the chance to move to the Juniper League. The Loftus Road side may be willing to strike a deal now that would get them some value in the player – who would have been free to sign terms with the Scottish Champions in January on a pre-contract basis.
Celtic have already been in touch with Ben Pearson of Preston North End about a pre-contract as they prepare for next season. Celtic’s other main targets in the January window will surely be a goalkeeper and a right back as they plan on mounting a dramatic recovery against Rangers to win the SPFL Premiership for a tenth successive season. Celtic need to focus on bringing immediate success as they try and wrestle back the lead held by Steven Gerrard’s side.
