Consistently inconsistent Celtic…
Yesterday’s draw at Pittodrie was a classic game of two halves, something we’ve seen all too often this campaign. The first half we were superb and all that was missing was a goal, the second half we did find the net, but also conceded and were lucky not to do so a few times as we were all over the place. The difference from the first half was quite staggering.
That is not the first time we have witnessed such this campaign. Think back to the St Johnstone game in Perth a couple of months back when we were absolutely dire in the first half, but came out in the second half rejuvenated and won the game.
Then a couple of weeks later at Rugby Park against Kilmarnock when it was the complete reverse. We totally outplayed the Ayrshire side who were lucky to go in at the interval only one goal down. Then what happened? You guessed it, Killie came out in the second half all guns blazing and won the game by not only outplaying us, but they also outfought us.
It’s becoming something of a recurring theme, and one we will need to address if we are to successfully defend our title. We have the talent and the ability to do so. We just need to find that consistency for the entire 90 plus minutes.
Just an Ordinary Bhoy
