Celtic to discover European qualification path today

Celtic will discover their path to European football later on today. Ange Postecoglou’s side will no doubt be entirely focused upon Tuesday’s game against FC Midtjylland but they will briefly switch their attention to the UEFA draw in Switzerland.

The House of European Football in Nyon will host the draw at 11am and Celtic will have eyes on two sets of the draw. Thanks to Moravcik67_ on Twitter, we are able to see the potential qualification paths that the club will need to navigate in order to secure European football next season.

The thread gives some clarity on who we will face depending on whether we can beat FC Midtjylland or not in the Champions League Second Round Qualifier. If we beat them, we will be seeded against either: Genk, Spartak Moscow, PSV v Galatasary, or Rapid Vienna v Sparta Prague. This is an incredibly difficult route to Champions League play-off but certainly do-able if Celtic can get their act together regarding reinforcements.

If Celtic fail against the Danish side, they will face Czech side Jablonec or Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta in the Europa League play-off.
