Celtic to miss out on Isak Jansson as OGC Nice near £9m deal

Celtic look set to miss out on attacking target Isak Jansson. The attacker was touted as a potential replacement got Nicolas Kühn but it appears that the Swede will move to Ligue 1 after an update.

As per Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph, OGC Nice are nearing a deal to sign the player, which appears to be worth £9m plus add ons.

Jansson has scored ten goals and assisted on 8 occasions in 45 games in Austria. Celtic are said to have made a £3m deal but knew that a number of clubs were vying for his signature.

The player plays on either flank but is right footed. The attacker’s main attributes are pace and dribbling, two attributes which Kühn possessed.

Celtic have are considering both Antwerp’s Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Sarpsborg’s Sondre Orjasaeter. You would imagine that the club will pick up their interest in the coming days if a move for Kühn is concluded.

Missing out on Jannson and Kvistgarden will be a blow. Safe to say we should forget about Rodgers signing an extension to his contract. Celtic fans shafted again. Disgraceful.
