Celtic are expected to complete the signing of Southampton’s Mohamed Elyounoussi on a season-long loan in the next couple of days before Monday’s transfer deadline.
STV’s Raman Bhardwaj announced via Twitter that the left winger is due to join Neil Lennon’s team.
STV has learned that Celtic will sign Mohamed Elyounoussi from Southampton. Left winger, Norwegian international. Big signing. Told it’s a season long loan deal.

The 25-year-old, who scored twice against Ronny Deila’s Celtic with Molde, joined the Saints last summer from Basel for a fee in the region of £16 million.
Despite being a loan, Elyounoussi boasts an impressive record in front of goal in the Swiss and Norwegian league. This signing could spell the end of Scott Sinclair’s Celtic career – which would appear to make him fourth choice on the left under Neil Lennon.
Very happy with Mohamed Elyounoussi.
Was excellent against us and always noticed his excellent goals appearing on Reddit over the years after he was linked with us.
His 2 goals against us, apologies for the Tyler Blackett flashbacks. pic.twitter.com/PInyaFsovw

Meanwhile, Neil Lennon could look to sift through his squad and send some of the fringe players out on loan. Jack Hendry, Calvin Miller, Jonny Hayes and Anthony Ralston could all be shown the door before Monday’s deadline.
