Celtic Training Video – “Maybe they should do some shooting practice”

It was all smiles at Lennoxtown as Celtic trained ahead of the trip to Easter Road for this evening’s crucial Scottish Premiership match against Hibs. It’s a venue where Brendan Rodgers has never won as Celtic manager but it’s essential that he rectifies that this evening.

Daizen Maeda is back and fully fit and may be used to bring additional energy to the attack, Luis Palma has been struggling recently and could maybe do with taking a place on the bench. Liel Abada is still working his way back to match sharpness after a long lay-off so Nicolas Kuhn, who scored at Pittodrie may get the nod this evening.

Adam Idah looks lively when he came on at Pittodrie and is in with an outside chance of replacing Kyogo in the starting line-up, but more realistically it will be another appearance from the bench for the big striker. Kyogo needs to find his scoring form quickly though.

Here’s the training video from Lennoxtown.

A mixed bag of views in the comments on this training video, released by Celtic TV this morning. There’s a definite focus on shooting practice being needed and you can throw in penalty taking because we must be the worst in the league for our efforts from the spot….

“Big smile on Cal Macs face, love it”…:C’mon the HOOPS !! Three point’s the night”:…”Got to win this”…”Mon bhoys let’s show some fight tonight”…”If we don’t win tonight then we are in serious  trouble”…”Three points tonight which means some goals to put up goal difference”…”Genuinely interested to see what work they do to break down defensive teams who camp in for 90 mins. Whatever work they do on this isn’t working”…”It is though, because we had loads of chances on Saturday like we do in every game? Now, if it’s shooting drills you’re calling for, I’ll back that one haha”…

“Let’s hope some of these actually put in a proper performance tonight. Dont want to see Bernabei or Palma start their attitude stinks”…”Yep, too many in and out performances this season, especially from Palma although not the only culprit”…

“Why are they smiling what’s there to be happy about?…”Top off the league maybe? Get behind the team and let’s get this over the line”…”Maybe they should do some shooting practice rather than playing chase me, not serious enough. Well done Board for losing the league”…”Couldn’t agree more. Many a doughnut on here talking about breaking teams down etc… we are breaking them down. Squandering 10 chances per game is the issue.”

One thing is for sure, the Celtic support will be much happier today after a victory against Hibs and preferably with a decent performance and a good few goals.
