Celtic Twitter rages at Crawford Allan’s Sportsound appearance

Celtic Twitter has been blowing up over the appearance of SFA Head of Refereeing, Crawford Allan appearing on BBC Sportsound to talk about a decision during the Celtic v Hearts game on Thursday night.

The outcry has been palpable after the SFA have chosen this particular decision to make a point of coming out and discussing, even though for months now refereeing decisions have been contentious week-upon-week. In particular the amount of penalty kicks a certain team in Scotland gets has been a hotly debated issue amongst the Celtic Support.

Added to this is the incredible amount of fouls that seem to go against Celtic, even when taking into consideration the possession stats that have us with the ball most of the time. Recent pass statistics from 40 leagues all over the world suggest we hold onto the ball the most – more than Man City!

Here is some of the reaction in Celtic cyberspace to this latest move by the footballing authorities…

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
