Celtic Twitter has been blowing up over the appearance of SFA Head of Refereeing, Crawford Allan appearing on BBC Sportsound to talk about a decision during the Celtic v Hearts game on Thursday night.
The outcry has been palpable after the SFA have chosen this particular decision to make a point of coming out and discussing, even though for months now refereeing decisions have been contentious week-upon-week. In particular the amount of penalty kicks a certain team in Scotland gets has been a hotly debated issue amongst the Celtic Support.
Added to this is the incredible amount of fouls that seem to go against Celtic, even when taking into consideration the possession stats that have us with the ball most of the time. Recent pass statistics from 40 leagues all over the world suggest we hold onto the ball the most – more than Man City!
Here is some of the reaction in Celtic cyberspace to this latest move by the footballing authorities…
The question is why is the “SFA referee chief” coming out commenting on this particular incident? What’s different about it?
Why has he not came out and commented on the dozens and dozens of other incidents this season? Some tight and others clear cut?
It’s fairly obvious.

It's an apology as the ref made a mistake and didn't stop the goal. This behaviour is such an admission of bias against Celtic. Time for the club to speak up and out the pressure on them

Why has he not commented on the penalty and straight red for Souttar assaulting Kyogo. In fact, why aren't the police investigating?

Celtic need to release an open statement regarding the comments of Crawford Allan. Its totally unacceptable that he's decided to voice his opinion on officials supposedly favouring Celtic.

Working behind the scenes Brian apparently 😂 it shows the sfa have that Celtic boardroom over a barrel.

The barrel is stamped "5WA Treat with Care". SFA reform for all the noise Celtic make is not in their agenda. The pretence that it was that begat Res12 has to be continued, in the Company's interest, as The Board alone decide it.

They will pretend they r putting up by sending angry letters to SFA who will ignore & Celtic will say they did their best. History from 2011 is littered with such letters & excuses thereafter. When you are defrauded by a member club aided by SFA laxity u go to the police not UEFA
