Celtic v Aberdeen Preview: Will Celtic’s DJ play Rod Stewart’s ‘Grace’ today?

THE news last night that the BBC refused to play Rod Stewart’s new single Grace probably comes as no surprise but it is a disgrace nevertheless.

The Queen – mindful of how history will remember her – went to Dublin a few years ago to pay her respects to the fallen in Ireland’s fight for freedom.

Now Rod Stewart has recorded his version own version of Grace, has included it on his new album Blood Red Roses and has released it as his new single.

What exactly has the BBC got to fear from playing this beautiful love song?

It can only be a decision taken with a nod to bigotry and is a total disgrace.

Celtic Park is the perfect venue this afternoon for Rod Stewart’s new single to be played and the Celtic support can get behind this single and drive it high up the charts. Folk in Ireland already plan to do the same.

So to the Celtic DJ – thank you again for playing Beautiful Sunday – but today we’d like to hear Rod Stewart singing Grace.

Grace is a beautiful song that we are proud to sing. Please play it today.

Let’s hear from you. Join in the debate on the new Celtic fans forum Celtic Noise.
