It’s still a week away but Saturday’s clash against Aberdeen can’t come quickly enough…
International football is upon us yet again, and while we all wish Steve Clarke’s men well and hope for a Scotland success against Portugal on Tuesday night at Hampden, club football is as always the first thing on our minds.
Celtic’s next clash is seven days away, but it’s one that we are all looking forward to, more so than usual as it’s a mouthwatering game in store at Paradise as we take on our nearest challengers this season, Aberdeen.
Just goal difference separates the sides
It’s actually our biggest game of the season so far domestically, and one that can prove vital in how our season pans out. The Dons have been something of a surprise package this season and sit joint top albeit behind Celtic on goal difference after winning all seven of their league games so far.
Some pundits have even scoffed at the Dons achievements saying they haven’t been tested as of yet, but that is complete nonsense as every game you play when you’re in a leading position is always a challenge. Something we know all too well.
Dons look a solid and formidable unit
The Dons look a solid and formidable unit under new manager Jimmy Thelin and Brendan Rodgers will be relishing pitting his wits against the former Elfsborg man.
The stage is set. The best stadium in the country hosting the two best sides in the country. The atmosphere is going to be electric. Saturday can’t come soon enough.
Just an Ordinary Bhoy
