Kevin Clancy has been appointed as the referee for tomorrow’s Scottish Premiership clash between Celtic and Dundee United, tickets are still available and there’s also a half-price PPV offer…
The 41 year-old experienced whistler will take charge of his fourth Celtic game this season as Brendan Rodgers’ side seek revenge on the Tangerines following Tannadice stalemate disappointment over two weeks ago.
Referee for Celtic v Dundee United is Kevin Clancy
Clancy was the man in the middle for Celtic’s Premier Sports League Cup last 16 tie with Hibs at the beginning of the season where the Hoops ran out comfortable 3-1 winners at Celtic Park.
He was also appointed for Celtic’s Premier Sports League Cup semi-final encounter with Jimmy Thelin’s Aberdeen. Celtic ended the Swede’s long unbeaten run as Dons boss at Hampden with a 6-0 hammering and ever since then the Pittodrie club have been in freefall.
Clancy’s only league meeting with Celtic came up at Dingwall in October. Alistair Johnston and Nicolas Kuhn’s late strikes sealed an important three points for the three-in-a-row Scottish champions.
Meanwhile, Jim Goodwin’s Dundee United travel to Glasgow’s East End tomorrow evening after suffering a surprising 1-0 defeat at Tannadice against Hearts on Sunday.

It was only a fortnight ago the newly promoted Premiership side held onto a point in the City of Discovery versus a depleted Celtic team.
With fixtures across all competitions coming thick and fast, Brendan Rodgers may look to rotate the starting XI once again to freshen things up.
Steven McLean on VAR duty
Meanwhile, assisting Kevin Clancy onfield will be AR1 Graeme Stewart. Colin Drummond has been given the role as AR2. Manning VAR duties at Clydesdale House is Steven McLean with Alan Mulvanny occupying Assistant VAR.
Half-price PPV after weekend power-cut
Kick off at Paradise tomorrow night is 7:45pm and will be shown live on Celtic TV to subscribers outside Britain and Ireland and there’s also a PPV service available from the official Celtic FC website.
After the interruption to the PPV broadcast at the weekend in the win over St Mirren, which was caused by a power cut in the Parkhead area (Celtic had to use their own emergency generator), the club are offering a reduced price of just £5.99 for PPV and that applies to supporters in Britain and Ireland who can’t make it along to the game.
Celtic explained via the official website…
Following Sunday’s power outage in the wider Parkhead area of Glasgow that caused disruption to normal matchday services inside Celtic Park, the club has assessed the effect this had on Celtic TV’s Pay-Per-View broadcast of the game against St Mirren.
We acknowledge that, unfortunately, the power outage resulted in a loss of pictures and audio for part of the second half’s live coverage.
While the cause of the disruption was entirely outwith the control of the club, in light of these circumstances, Celtic will be reducing the previously advertised Pay-Per-View pricing by 50% for the forthcoming game against Dundee United at Celtic Park this Wednesday, 8 January
We hope that this discount will enable supporters who can’t make it to Celtic Park to enjoy the full game at home at a reduced price of £5.99 as a token of appreciation for your support on Sunday.
Celtic TV subscribers in the UK and Ireland will receive a discounted rate of £4.99, which will be automatically applied at checkout.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank you once again for your ongoing support and understanding related to this issue.
