Celtic v Hearts: Don Robertson appointed to referee Saturday’s match

The Scottish Football Association have announced their appointment for this weekend’s fixture between Celtic and Hearts. The Cinch Premiership is nearing its conclusion and Ange Postecoglou’s side are closing in on the title.

Don Robertson has been appointed as the man in the middle for the game at Paradise this weekend. He will be assisted by Dougie Porter and Ross Macleod. Andrew Dallas is acting as Fourth Official.

Robertson last whistled in Celtic’s 4-0 win over Ross County where Giorgos Giakoumakis scored a hat-trick. Celtic will be hoping to replicate this performance at the weekend as they look to beat third-placed Hearts and put themselves in an unassailable position at the top of the league. A win would mean that Rangers would need to win on Sunday by a significant margin before Celtic play again – away to Dundee United.

Given that Celtic are six points clear with nine to play for as well as boasting a huge goal difference, they can all but win the title at the weekend with three points over Hearts and Ange’s team will look at making sure that this is done with as little hassle as possible.
