Celtic v Kilmarnock: Predicted XI with one change from Scottish Cup win

Celtic face Kilmarnock this afternoon in the Cinch Premiership. Last weekend, Brendan Rodgers’ side navigated a tough challenge in Paisley to beat St Mirren and progress to the next round of the Cup. We’d expect the manager to stick with the team with the exception of one change – with Greg Taylor coming back into the side at the expense of Alexandro Bernabei.

In goals, the brilliant Joe Hart will start. The seasoned pro has made some big stops since the winter break and will need to continue that against a Killie team that have a strong frontline.

In defence, expect Taylor to come in for Bernabei at left back with Tony Ralston continuing in the absence of Alistair Johnston. Liam Scales and Stephen Welsh will continue in the central pairing.

In midfield, Rodgers will likely continue with Matt O’Riley beside Callum McGregor with Kyogo in that free role behind the striker.

Adam Idah will start through the middle with Luis Palma and Daizen Maeda on the flanks.

That leaves Paulo Bernardo, Nicolas Kuhn, Yang and Oh as attacking subs. Liel Abada will likely not play a part, the Israeli winger is struggling with events off the pitch and is expected to depart the club – which is a shame because he has been backed by the club and the support.
