Celtic v Rangers: League Cup Final, Kick-Off time, allocation and Ticket Update

The SPFL have announced some details for the forthcoming League Cup Final against theRangers. In a brief statement, the officials confirmed the kick-off time, venue and that ticketing details would be released in due course.

The Scottish Champions will face their Glasgow rivals in a 50/50 split of the allocation and there is set to be huge demand for the game. The game will see a replay of the 2019 Final, where Christopher Jullien’s goal delivered the trophy back to Paradise.

Celtic beat Kilmarnock at Hampden on Saturday night, winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Daizen Maeda and Giorgos Giakoumakis. Celtic scored four times but VAR ruled out two strikes. theRangers, meanwhile, required extra time to beat Aberdeen.

The game will now see the fixture against Hearts, scheduled on the 25th of February, rearranged given the clash at Hampden.

Celtic won the first meeting with theRangers this season 4-0 before drawing in the Glasgow Derby at Ibrox 2-2. The game at Hampden will see the first piece of silverware claimed by one of the two Glasgow sides.
