The Swedish International outlined his thoughts on the recent match against Celtic and looked forward to their next clash next week. Speaking to LKZ, Forsberg said: “We knew that Celtic can find good solutions with the ball. We were prepared, so it was a high-intensity game.”

“Celtic wanted to play fast football, we were also a bit impressed at the beginning. But in the second half we brought the three points home.

“It will be a fantastic game with an incredible atmosphere (on Tuesday night at Celtic Park). It will be another important game for us. We are making good progress every day, we have a lot of intensity and quality. We are on the right track.”

This came could go a very long way to determining which side ends up finishing second in Group F and therefore goes on to qualify for the knockout rounds. A Celtic win will provide momentum and optimism ahead of the next game against Shakhtar Donetsk, who hopefully will lose to Real Madrid next week.

Celtic fans in Leipzig on Wednesday night

If Celtic can beat Shakhtar and Real Madrid win in Germany then Celtic will be through. If and maybes in there but all Celtic can do is win our two home games then we’ll see how the rest of the game pan out.  Preferably we won’t have to be relying on a win at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium on matchday six.
