Celtic v Ross County – team news, kick off time and where to watch

Celtic return to Paradise today to face Ross County in the Scottish Premiership. Ange Postecoglou managed to secure a few deals on deadline day of the transfer window with incomings and outgoings affecting how the team will line up this season. The club were rocked by yesterday’s announcement that Dom McKay had resigned as Chief Executive; however, Ange will be hoping to get the focus back onto the pitch as opposed to the boardroom.

Team News

Kyogo Furuhashi is unavailable after picking up an injury while on International Duty. The Japanese forward will be out for 3-4 weeks and with Odsonne Edouard moving to Palace, there is a question for Ange Postecoglou as to who he starts up front. Giorgos Giakoumakis or Albian Ajeti. The Swiss striker has had to bide his time but he could look to make his mark against the Highlanders this afternoon.

Jota, Scales and Carter-Vickers will all be available for selection after joining before the deadline. Their inclusion gives the manager options at the back. The defeat to Rangers saw a backline of Juranovic, Welsh, Starfelt and Ralston utilised but Postecoglou may look to integrate some of his new signings given Juranovic and Starfelt were on International Duty.

James McCarthy and James Forrest have had the opportunity to train and get ready for the game after missing the fixtures against St Mirren, Alkmaar and Rangers. The manager confirmed yesterday that McCarthy would likely be involved but the game would come too soon for Forrest.

Celtic still have Christopher Jullien, Mikey Johnston and Karamoko Dembele out with long-term injuries. Although, the inclusion of Jullien in the Europa League squad suggests that he is nearing a return to action.
