Celtic v St Mirren: Referees confirmed for chance to go four clear

Celtic will face St Mirren on Saturday as Brendan Rodgers’ side have the opportunity to move four points clear. After drawing against Rangers at Ibrox, Rodgers and the team know that six wins in the remaining six games would deliver a third successive title.

The first step will be to beat Stephen Robinson’s side from Paisley, who often prove themselves to be tricky opposition. The SFA have confirmed the refereeing appointments for the game with two experienced referees named:

Steven McLean has been named as the Referee with Calum Spence and John McCrossan running the line as Assistant Referees. Peter Stuart will be acting as Fourth Official. Meanwhile, at Clydesdale House, David Dickinson is on VAR with Gary Hilland assisting.

Celtic will likely have to face a trip to Paisley after the split and will be keen to get the maximum points and put pressure on Rangers, who face Ross County on Sunday. The Ibrox club are fizzing that the game at Dens Park was postponed but will now need to play next week, after the last day of the split.
