Celtic face St Mirren this evening in the Scottish Cup Fourth Round. The Scottish Champions beat Greenock Morton to set up an all Premiership affair under the lights at Paradise. The Buddies are the only team to beat Celtic domestically this season with their 2-0 win in Paisley, this will bolster their ambitions to dump Ange Postecoglou’s side out of the Cup but they are well aware they will be up against it with Celtic looking to complete a Treble.
Team News
There are no fresh injury concerns for Celtic. Tony Ralston is back in contention and Benjamin Siegrist remains out.
Joe Hart is expected to start in goals. The Englishman will likely have a settled back four of Ally Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Carl Starfelt and Greg Taylor in front of him. In the centre of the pitch, Callum McGregor will start at the base of the middle three with Aaron Mooy and Reo Hatate playing at either side of him in the advanced No.8 positions.
In attack, the manager has more options. Kyogo will start through the middle but the question is who plays in the wide areas. Jota and Daizen Maeda have been the preferred pairing but Sead Haksabanovic and James Forrest will be keen to get themselves some minutes.
Predicted XI: Hart, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Taylor; McGregor (C), Mooy, Hatate; Jota, Kyogo, Maeda.
