Ange Postecoglou takes his team to the Allianz Stadium for their first game of the Sydney Super Cup match against Sydney FC. Celtic are nine points clear at the top of the Premiership back in Scotland but are continuing their hard work as the manager hopes to keep the standards high amongst his team while the World Cup break is underway.
Team News
Celtic go into the game without Cameron Carter-Vickers, Aaron Mooy, Josip Juranovic and Daizen Maeda – all of whom are currently in Qatar for the World Cup. Callum McGregor trained and we will likely see him make a return at some stage during the trip Down Under.
The manager has said that he will play strong teams during the tour as he looks to give the paying crowd bang for their buck. However, Ange also said that he would look to give fringe players opportunities on the pitch. Bosun Lawal, Scott Robertson and Yosuke Ideguchi will all be hoping to get their chance to showcase their qualities having travelled with the squad.
