Celtic are yet to receive a ‘serious offer’ for Odsonne Edouard, according to The Guardian’s Ed Aarons. The Sports Writer took to his Twitter to update his 53k followers on the Frenchman’s Celtic future but stated that the club are yet to receive an offer that they would listen to. The Frenchman has just a year remaining on his deal and it had been expected that he would depart this summer; however, interest appears to have cooled in the former PSG striker.

Aarons covers Crystal Palace amongst other clubs and the Premier League club were again linked with the player by The Telegraph. Brighton, Southampton, Crystal Palace and Leicester have been tipped as potential destinations for the attacker but talk of a move has calmed down in recent weeks.
Edouard was signed in 2017 for £9m and has scored 88 goals for the club, impressing along the way in all competitions. However, losing him on a free would be hard to take considering the interest that the club had in him last season. There had been some social media murmurs that the club had received an offer for the player today but Aarons pours cold water on this suggestion.
The club would likely accept a deal of around £20m for Edouard, as was the case with Kris Ajer. Although, the club may have to accept a lesser amount if the deal comes about at the end of the window. Celtic are targeting Greece international Georgios Giakoumakis. The striker is said to be available for £3m but given Edouard is still at the club, it is unlikely that the club would sign another striker unless there is an outgoing in the striking department.
