VASILIS BARKAS started for Greece as they beat Cyprus 2-1. Barkas signed on a four year deal, believed to be worth £1m per year after Celtic paid around £4.5m for the player from AEK Athens. Barkas was in goals when Celtic were dumped out of the Champions League in 2018 by the Greek side and joined to become the new number one, taking on from Fraser Forster – who decided against making a permanent return.
However, some quiet performances for Celtic and then a shoulder injury allowed Scott Bain to stake a claim for the gloves. Unfortunately for Barkas, Bain has been impressive enough and doing just enough to keep him out of the team.
La gestion des gardiens sous Van't Schip va finir par fragiliser le titulaire de Benfica et celui du Celtic. Barkas pas dans un grand jour aujourd'hui, mais difficile d'avoir des repères quand le titulaire change constamment.

Barkas had a couple of critics of those that managed to tune into the game. For a player that is low on confidence, he will hopefully be able to get some form in the upcoming games versus Moldova and Slovenia.
Dear John vant Schip
Please never start Barkas ever again

Compared to the first half, the second half was almost the opposite. The attack was lethargic without Tzolis and Tsimikas overlapping, which left Limnios the only one doing the work. Pelkas as useless as Bakasetas. Barkas sleeping, and finishing chances is still an issue
