Celtic’s bid for South Korea’s World Cup striker Cho Gue-sung confirmed

Celtic are edging closer to signing South Korea’s World Cup striker Cho Gue-sung but Ange Postecoglou may have to wait until the summer to bring the goalscorer to Celtic Park. That situation could change though despite the his current club Jeonbuk Hyundai’s preference to do business in the next transfer window.

Celtic appear to be the destination of choice for the player and his agent and it is looking more like when rather than if this deal will be done and perhaps the player and his agent will tip the balance towards a January deal by making their own views on the proposed transfer clear to CEO Heo Byeong-gil, the decision maker at Jeonbuk Hyundai.

Everything Celtic this morning report via v.daum.net that Jeonbuk Hyundai are mulling over Celtic’s bid for Cho Gue-sung with the players agent confirming talks with the club.

The respected Celtic social media account also reports that Jeonbuk Hyundai CEO Heo Byeong-gil confirmed Celtic’s bid however would rather sell the player in the summer transfer window.

So we appear to now know that Celtic have made formal a former bid for the player and that the move appears to be likely to happen sooner or later.
