Celtic’s Cup Semi-Final Date Confirmed

Celtic’s Scottish Cup semi-final date with Aberdeen has been confirmed as Sunday 12th of April with a 3pm kick-off. Neil Lennon’s men meet Derek McInnes’ side as they chase yet another treble with the Dons between them and another Scottish Cup final.

The game has also been confirmed for TV with Premier Sports hosting the match live.

Last season, Celtic played Aberdeen twice at Hampden. Lennon’s side disposed of Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi final with a 3-0 win thanks to goals from James Forrest, Odsonne Edouard and Tom Rogic. Prior to that, a 1-0 win in the League Cup final saw Brendan Rodgers win his last trophy in charge of Celtic.

The winners of the tie will play the winners in Saturday’s other semifinal’s between Hibernian and Hearts, which will be played at Hampden despite calls for Murrayfield to host the Edinburgh derby.

Ticket details for the match are yet to be announced but earlier this week on The Celtic Star, we discussed a way that would allow those that made the trips to the away games the chance to make the Hampden fixture. See here.
