Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi has been named as the SPFL Team of the Week’s Star Man after his brace against Rangers. Ange Postecoglou’s side beat their Glasgow Rivals 3-2 in an enthralling game last weekend to open up a twelve point gap at the top of the Premiership table. Kyogo scored twice with Jota completing the scoring for the Scottish Champions; however, only Kyogo has been named in the TOTW.

Remarkably, no Rangers players feature despite their ‘impressive’ performance at Celtic Park. The second placed side have received plaudits for their efforts, despite losing the match and allowing Celtic to move closer to a second consecutive league title.
Impressively, Kyogo scored five consecutive goals against Rangers in three games. His first, the equaliser at Ibrox in January then his match-winning brace in February’s League Cup Final before the two on Saturday. The player has 28 goals in all competitions this season, which is particularly impressive considering he had a period off the boil in September.
