Celtic’s Liam Shaw completes deadline day move to England

Celtic’s Liam Shaw has signed for Morecambe on a season-long loan deal. The 21-year-old will hope that he progresses with the League One outfit.

Shaw signed last summer from Sheffield Wednesday but he has failed to make his mark following his move, owing to the quality at Ange Postecoglou’s disposal. The club are clearly not ready to give up on the midfielder yet as this will merely be a temporary switch.

Shaw will hope that this move is more productive than his last temporary switch to Motherwell didn’t prove to be as productive as had been hoped. His ex-Owls colleague Osaze Urhoghide didn’t make the grade at Celtic either and now he is with Oostende.

Celtic have had a busy transfer window with multiple incomings and outgoings as Ange strengthens his squad and ships out those that are surplus to requirements with the Scottish Champions.
