Cerny incident is much ado about nothing, but if the roles were reversed could the Rangers supporters truly say that they would laugh it all off?

One of the main talking points to emerge from Sunday’s Derby defeat is an incident that took place off the park in wake of theRangers winning goal.
It was the incident involving theRangers loan player Vaclav Cerny who was seen spraying the contents of a water bottle over a few Celtic supporters sitting directly behind the away dugout at Celtic Park.
Apparently there will be a police investigation into the players actions, with possible disciplinary action from the SFA being threatened also. For me it’s much ado about nothing. The disgusting bile spewed by theRangers supporters throughout the game and the damage they inflicted on our stadium is more worthy of a thorough investigation in my book.
Yes the player shouldn’t have done what he did, but it’s hardly worthy of police charges is it? The SFA intervening maybe, but if the boot was on the other foot we would be lapping it up, let’s be honest.
Could the same be said of the Ibrox club and their supporters though? Imagine the uproar if Callum McGregor had done similar at Ibrox? Or going back further and it was Scott Brown or Neil Lennon? the headlines would be loaded with calls to jail and sine die all involved.

Don’t forget that once upon a time oldco supporters wanted Artur Boruc jailed for blessing himself, and there were calls for the same treatment to bestow that man Neil Lennon after he had the audacity to cusp his ears whilst enjoying a victory at Ibrox when manager of Hibs?
I think we all know the answer to that one….

I get what you say but on the day of a large support back safety nets installed fans warned beforehand not to provoke and and cause possible trouble a player provokes trouble ,what would have happened if those fans were so enraged they stepped over the barrier to engage with the sevco player and all hell let’s loose
Cerny has stated that he wants to stay at Sevco next season…..
You have to admire the lads determination to have another go at Queens Park !!!!!!!!
Least we forget…….
