THE FOURTH round draw for the Champions League is as follows:

Malmo (Sweden) OR MOL Vidi (Hungary) V Celtic (Scotland) OR AEK Athens (Greece)
Benfica (Portugal) OR Fenerbahce (Turkey) V PAOK (Greece) OR Spartak Moscow (Russia)
Standard Liege (Belgium) OR Ajax (Netherlands) V Slavia Praha (Czech Republic) OR Dynamo Kiev (Ukraine)
The first legs will take place on 21/22 August with the returns scheduled for 28/29 August. The winners go through to the group stage, the draw for which will be held in Monaco on Thursday 30 August.
Teams who do not qualify will go through to the draw for the Europa League, also held in Monaco but on 31 August.
So, in summary, if we knock out AEK Athens over the next week or so we will have a revenge mission against Malmo, who knocked out Ronny Delia’s Celtic side or alternatively the Hungarian Champions MOL Vidi.
Having had tough draws in the earlier rounds this is probably the tie that Celtic would have wanted, assuming we can get past the Champions of Greece.
In 1966-67 season Celtic played 8 games to get to the European Cup Final in Lisbon. In 2018 we have to play 8 games to get the Group stages of the so-called Champions League.
If we lose to AEK Athens we will play in a Europa League qualifier which is being determined at the moment.
