City Football Group side announce signing of Celtic youngster

Lommel SK, a City Football Group side, have announced the signing of Tsoanelo Letsosa from Celtic. The youngster was a key figure in the Celtic B sides but never made an appearance for the first team.

Letsosa rejected the opportunity to remain at Celtic by turning down a new deal and will attempt to make his mark in football by switching to the Belgian Pro League side. In a Twitter update, Lommel announced the capture of Letsosa.

The City Group have ties across Europe and Letsosa probably fancies the opportunity to work around the City network, which always attracts interest.

It is understandable that the player probably questioned the viability of getting first team action. Ben Summers and Rocco Vata were able to get themselves into the first team under Ange Postecoglou but the Australian wasn’t the biggest advocate of bringing players through from the Academy.

Brendan Rodgers, meanwhile, has a better reputation for bringing through young talent into the first team.
