Celtic AGM chaos, but did the shysters in charge take any notice? Of course they didn’t. On Monday night the Celtic Fans Collective will meet to discuss what happened on Friday, what Ross Desmond had to say on behalf of his daddy and why Peter Lawwell allowed that to happen…

The much anticipated Celtic AGM ended abruptly on Friday morning after the board took umbrage to flak aimed in their direction, by irate shareholders who have had enough of both their arrogance and incompetence.
A chorus of heckles and a vocal rendition of ‘Sack the Board’ were clearly heard after Ross Desmond was allowed by the Chairman Peter Lawwell to launch an all-out attack on Celtic supporters criticism of his dad’s boardroom chums, whilst also labelling the Green Brigade as ‘bullies’. It was a Dermot Desmond rant mark two, the first aimed at Brendan Rodgers for pointing out his need for new signings and now the second at the support for having the cheek to argue with the Celtic dictator.

This seemed to have struck a nerve of the shysters who run our club, and Lawwell in particular who scowled like an irate headmaster faced with rebellious pupils, it was then that the AGM was brought to an end as Lawwell and his cronies exited the scene with their tails very much between their legs.
What were they expecting? To be showered with praise? Supporters aren’t impressed with record turnovers we helped create, we want the club to make the most of its resources, we don’t want our hard earned cash resting in a PLC account.
“We will not be railroaded by those whose only vocation in life is to be anti-establishment and by those who try to degrade the club”
Ross Desmond attacked the Celtic the founding ethos of the club.
Far right attitudes are on the rise as “normal”.

I’m not sure that the Celtic Board will take note of the anger aimed in their direction, they may have been took aback by the hostility, but they’ve simply blames it all on the Green Brigade and the Celtic Trust. The vindictiveness that they showed to a manager who wanted the best for Celtic is now being shown to the Green Brigade, with Ross Desmond commenting on what is now a criminal case before it’s been heard by a sheriff. They are not the judge and jury, he’s just a guy with a rich daddy.
The future of the north curve is now in doubt but despite the way the Celtic Board want to shape this, The Celtic Fans Collective is an organisation representing a much wider group of Celtic supporters and it is the who are protesting. There’s a meeting of the Collective on Monday night and there they will shape a response to Ross Desmond and his daddy.
This is now about the heart and soul of Celtic. It’s about the Celtic every other Celtic dad will be passing down to their sons and daughters. Yesterday was one of the blackest days ever in Celtic’s history. Fergus McCann may have saved Celtic in 1994 but he was aided by a Celtic support that has continued to shovel money into the club’s coffers ever since.
@CelticFC I wish to convey my ordinary supporter anger towards the Celtic fc board and the entitled billionaire Ross Desmond in particular. These people are NOT Celtic Football Club. Especially Mr Desmond and his forever absent father. I speak as an independent supporter.

Peter Lawwell took offence at the heckling at the AGM, the wider Celtic support may well have been annoyed with that too however the intervention of Ross Desmond – reading out a pre-prepared dictate written by his daddy – is the real story. The Board might want to get rid of the Green Brigade but the Celtic support through the Celtic Fans Collective will make their own wishes clear after the meeting on Monday night.
Just an Ordinary Bhoy

Please force these corrupt and incompetent clowns out of our club.
We need new a majority owner to come in and start from scratch.
The longer this goes on the more impossible and costly it is going to be to get this club back on track.
The failure to replace important players is about to create massive problems as we are going to need a lot more signings in the next 2 windows to replace current players whose heads have been turned and a bunch who are clearly past it or not good enough.
Anyone seriously believe the board and the suits are going to fork out the kind of money and have the ability to identify players to fix this mess?
I fear we are about to find out that rock bottom has a basement.
The actions on Friday advanced the interests of fans and shareholders not an inch:
If you think an AGM should include chants and rants and shouting down you’re deluding yourself.
We got no answers yesterday, no discussion.
Please don’t keep repeating that the “collective” or the GB represent the “fans”. Have a read at the recent fan survey for evidence of this.
We need a more constructive approach to improving things at Celtic and yesterday was exactly the opposite/
Yesterday was nothing more than a farce, in which nothing was able to get discussed of any substance whatsoever?
The collective has become nothing more than a Brendan Rodgers fanclub, still sulking, and using the GB as a mouthpiece imo?
So the question still remains as to whether DD was right to end Rodgers stay with ourselves or not?
Personally believe DD was correct in doing so, and the lack of a response from Rodgers upon what actually went on between the 2, leaves nothing more than speculation upon Rodgers behalf, and excuses for the likes happening?
All the while, there was plenty of evidence of players not responding to Rodgers methods and deteriorating on a week by week basis, that was in operation for months, before the summer window even begun?
The response from many within our support, has been embarrassing since imo?
Bitching and moaning about every decision taken ever since, while on the attack with making things very personal.
Now crying like babies when getting a response not to there liking?
The collective missed the opportunity to form an agenda, to challenge the board upon yesterday.
That would have included dialogue getting formed to even enter into discussions, surrounding longer term plans.
But what’s in operation is nothing more than a disruptive rabble in place, that stands to do more harm to our club than good imo?
We are turning rapidly, into a club that’s not to welcoming.
Personally finding the likes quite disgusting, and certainly not what our club was built upon.
Scottish dominance has been generated and instead of keeping the likes intact, we are placing ourselves at risk of smashing it all from within ourselves?
Does the amount of success gained and forming Scottish dominance and keeping the likes intact, warrant any form of gratitude whatsoever nowadays within our club?
The spoilt brat attitude won’t achieve nothing for sure imo?
Development needs to improve to form a better degree of stability, within our squad is required to, to gain better competitive levels for ourselves at European level.
That despite no Development within Scottish football on offer.
So a hit and miss approach exists within the transfer market, all the while a player trading model is in operation?
So a balance between the two has to be sought for ourselves imo?
Still believe that the collective, would be better off, looking at footballing solutions, moreso than it’s current stand on making personal attacks from individuals in position within the boardroom imo?
The first question on the agenda at the meeting should be, “Was he correct in his statements?”
Answer; “YES”
Meeting adjourned!
