Confirmed – 3pm on Sunday kick-off for the Rangers v Celtic Scottish Cup Tie

The 4th Round Scottish Cup tie at Ibrox between theRangers and Celtic has been confirmed for Sunday 18 April with a 3pm kick-off.

The tie was originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon but has been moved due to The Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral which is taking place in Windsor at 3pm on Saturday.

The tie is being shown live on Premier Sports and the broadcaster has had to re-arrange various schedules and broadcasting commitments to accommodate the request to move the match.

The SPFL fixtures that are taking place this weekend will all kick-off at midday on Saturday.

Celtic will travel across the city wit confidence high after the 6-0 thrashing of Livingston at the weekend. And the extra day will give injury worry James Forrest more time to make the game after he was taken off at the weekend with a tight hamstring.

Celtic’s interim boss John Kennedy warned theRangers that he still regards his side as the best team in the country but the Celtic players will have to prove him right on Sunday.

Celtic have won the Scottish Cup on each of the four previous seasons and are looking for the club’s 41st success in this competition.

So in summary it’s 3pm on Sunday at Ibrox for theRangers v Celtic…
