Confirmed! Jason Denayer completes Lyon move

JASON DENAYER has now officially signed for Lyon. The Celtic Star broke the story that the French side had beaten Celtic to the player’s signature late on Friday night and now the move has been completed after he passed a medical and agreed personal terms.

Celtic have now failed on THREE occasions to re-sign the Belgian defender who won the Young Player of the Year in his season at the Scottish Champions.

Meanwhile there’s no news on how Derrick Boyata got on today with his team-mates. Brendan Rodgers has indicated that the Belgian defender will have to apologise to the staff and players after missing last week’s vital Champions League game in Athens.

Boyata is expected to have made his apologies today and should travel with the squad for Thursday’s Europa League Play-off in Lithuania.

Meanwhile The Celtic Star’s resident academic Sean NcDon reckons that we are better suited to the Europa League rather than the the elitist Champions League – see HERE.
