Conor Hazard’s emotional farewell message after Celtic exit

Former Celtic goalkeeper, Conor Hazard, has released a farewell message to Celtic following his recent exit from the club.

With the transfer window in full swing, announcements of different incoming and outgoing players have been growing. Players like Marco Tilio and Odin Thiago Holm have been brought to the club, while players such as Jota and Aaron Mooy have made their exit. Most recently, it was revealed that Conor Hazard would be making his exit from Celtic in favour of a move to Plymouth Argyle. The Northern Irish international has joined Plymouth on a 3-year deal, with the likely intention of securing more game time, something that hasn’t exactly been plentiful at Celtic.

However, Hazard has certainly played his part at Celtic, as he was part of the club for 9 years. So, the goalkeeper took to Instagram to say his goodbyes to his fellow teammates, staff and fans. he said…

“I want to say a massive thank you to all my teammates, the staff and the fans of Celtic FC for the past 9 years.

“The support you have shown me since joining at the age of 16 has been immense, I have lived the dream playing for you and will always support the Bhoys. Thank you.”

In his 9 years at the club, Hazard has enjoyed years of success. It is understandable that he wants to make his move so he can secure more game time. His time at HJK Helsinki proved that he is capable of more first-team football, so hopefully he is able to achieve that in the English Championship.

Hazard’s defining moment as a Celtic player came in the Scottish Cup Final in 2020 against Hearts, where he made a couple of saves from the spot as Neil Lennon’s team won the Treble, the club’s fourth in a row.
