Everton have made contact with Celtic over a potential deal for Odsonne Edouard. Sky Sports are reporting that the Goodison Park club have “sounded out” Celtic with a view to making a bid for the 23-year-old.
Rafa Benitez wants another striking option to compliment Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the Merseyside club’s attack and Edouard may be the very man to fill this vacancy. There is an air of inevitability that he will leave but hopefully, it is after a win at Ibrox on Sunday.

Edouard was signed in 2017 for £9m and has scored 89 goals for the club, impressing along the way in all competitions. However, losing him on a free would be hard to take considering the interest that the club had in him last season. There had been some social media murmurs that the club have received offers from Premier League clubs but today there has been a flurry of speculation with Russian side Rubin Kazan and Bordeaux vying for his signature.
The club would likely accept a deal of around £15-20m for Edouard, as was the case with Kris Ajer. Although, the club may have to accept a lesser amount if the deal comes about at this stage of the transfer window.
