Craig Gordon linked with Hearts return

CRAIG GORDON has been linked with a move to Championship side Hearts. The ‘keeper began his career at Tynecastle and has been linked to complete a move back to his boyhood club after six years with the Scottish Champions.

The Daily Mail (print edition) are reporting that Hearts are keen on offering Gordon the first team action that he craves. Despite being relegated to the Championship yesterday, Gordon might still be tempted to make the move back to Edinburgh.

Gordon and Celtic are still due to hold talks to determine whether his future remains at Celtic Park or not; however, Gordon would certainly be a good player to have around especially in the fight for 10IAR. Fraser Forster is yet to agree a deal to bring him back to Celtic Park so should no deal transpire and the club allow Gordon to leave, that would leave Scott Bain as the only first team goalkeeper at the club.

Gordon last week confirmed that he had decided to reject the offer from Neil Lennon’s side but remains confident that further talks will take place, with Celtic needing to up their offer. St Mirren have also been linked with Gordon but the club would be foolish to allow Gordon to leave the club – sign Gordon and play him if no deal for Forster transpires or loan him if we resign Forster allowing him to complete his dream of a Scotland recall.
