Crazy – Action shots show massive tactical failures

NEIL LENNONs USP is his man management, massaging egos of professional footballers and getting them to perform at the top of their game – whilst leaving the coaching to others. This stems from his former manager Martin O’Neill, who was a motivator and Brian Clough style of manager.

However, Lennyball has come under pressure this season with supporters noticing the system that seems to be at play. A reliance on individuals as opposed to a system, which might be a reason for the failings this season. Lennon has the best squad at his disposal but is behind Rangers –  who are operating a tight system.

This was exemplified by three separate action shots from @footballStewart that perfectly capture how this season has been. Ryan Christie, a match winner and exceptional talent, taking on shots from distance when there were better options available.

In each action clip from the 2-2 draw at Easter Road, there are better options. Ajeti or Elyounoussi through the middle but a shot is still dispatched proving that there is no real system at the club.

Serious questions need to be asked as to what is going on at training if this is the best Celtic can come up with – shooting from range against an impressive goalkeeper.
