Celtic are still in talks with Legia Warsaw over the transfer of Croatian full-back Josip Juranovic. The 25-year-old appears to be Celtic’s first choice in the transfer market as the search for a right-back continues. However, rumours circulated yesterday that the deal was off. Although, Croatian journalist Ižak Ante Sučić has said that the deal is still on but the difficulties have emerged since Celtic formally offered less than they initially agreed.
💥BOOOM!💥
🔔Update: As per our sources, deal is still not off, but there was a big hit. Verbally @CelticFC board agreed on one price, but then their formal offer was a lot smaller then expected. Both Juranovic and @LegiaWarszawa were interested, but this changes everything.(1/2) https://t.co/s0obRLFLJq— Ižak Ante Sučić (@IASucic) August 13, 2021
Celtic appear to have offered less than previously agreed but there is a chance that this can be remedied by offering what Legia want for the ex-Hadjuk Split star. The Editor-in-Chief of Germanijak.hr said that the deal appeared ‘easy’ at first but now Celtic are looking into offer cheaper options, like Man City’s Yan Couto.
At first, everyone expected easy deal for all three parties involved, Juranovic was interested, Legia willing to sell, Celtic in hurry to find new RB. Also, Celtic is looking into some other ‘more cheaper’ options. More to follow. (2/2)

Sučić continues saying that the deal would represent a ‘win win’ for Celtic as they would be purchasing a quality full-back, someone that would improve the team.
Personally, I think this deal would be a win-win-win situation. Barisic plays well for @RangersFC, IMO Juranovic could be as good or even better in @CelticFC. He’s a true professional, good lad and somebody you’d be happy to representing your club. €3m-€5m is not a lot of money

The player had made 40 appearances for Warsaw after joining from Hajduk Split in 2020. In that time, the Croatian full-back has made 13 goals for his teammates and scored 3 himself, earning praise for his crossing ability and powerful running.
The ten-cap Croatian Internationalist is a high-quality option for Celtic and it appears that the team and player appear to be still keen on the deal. It would be hugely preferable to sign a permanent right-back as opposed to relying on a loan deal.
