The Celtic Fans Collective has released a long statement following the shambolic events at Celtic Park yesterday afternoon at the Celtic PLC AGM…

The meeting was interrupted, resumed after a half hour delay and then cancelled amid uproar caused by Ross Desmond reading out a statement from his father, Celtic’s principal shareholder Dermot Desmond, which had turned into an attack on the Celtic support.
Here is the full statement from Celtic Fans Collective and below we’ve included some of the comments on their social media account in direct response to this statement.
The Celtic Fans Collective meets on Monday evening to discuss next steps and to look for a way forward that will ultimately see a better, more united Celtic. The current position is distressful to say the least.

“I agree with the sentiment and most of the content, but to say the meeting wasn’t disrupted is nonsense. I was there. Sitting right in front of a group of shareholders who shouted, swore and made ‘rude gestures’ to the board. They were ‘at it’ from the off,” H Paul O’Donnell
“You desperately need a new spokesperson. this is just not a serious statement,” notthebus
“I’m finding it increasingly difficult to differentiate between statements from the North curve, the GB, the Trust and now the collective. The collective needs a visible leader so we know who is speaking on behalf of the group.” McTall
“Take some responsibility it was a business meeting and you acted like you were at a match, resulting in the meeting getting stopped, great chance to hold them to account on behalf of us all and you blew it,” Anto smoo
“Can it be clarified who “speaks ” and signs off statements from the Fans Collective? Neil McPhadin

“The conduct from salaried employees of Celtic football club was despicable. Desmond’s statement was a slap on the face to many Celtic supporters. I don’t think we’ve even reached the bottom of the biggest low I can remember. I don’t think any fan of Celtic was happy yesterday,” Stephen McNulty
“Any Celtic Supporter still behind (the board) is a wrong yin. They treat us with utter contempt
Keep up the protests outside the stadium at home games. Ross Desmond came across as some lowlife petty Gangster. Little rich boy acting tough as Daddy hides again,” Dannylogan
“Lawwell knew what Ross Desmond was going to say next and cut him off as I think he knew it would’ve really kicked off. His da will be raging he didn’t get the line out,” James c
“What are our social values? Just so I’m clear as you purport to speak on my behalf,” David

“To Ross Desmond, the Celtic fans you insult earn their money honestly, depriving their families of some things to buy Celtic merchandise and support the team…” Oleg Toshev
“I am not a Celtic Fan, nor a Rangers fan. I support Scottish Football and want all Scottish teams to do well. But I have to say I have never seen a Board act like this. I honestly do not know what the Celtic support do from now, but yesterdays comments by Celtic Board. Shocking!” Peter Robertson
My take on #ticagm
1. Support now predominantly against the board.
2. Dermot can’t be arsed
3. Ross may be able to read but he can’t read a room.
4. Nicholson in denial
5. Lawell as arrogant as ever.
We are sadly a club at war with itself which will not end well on & off pitch HH pic.twitter.com/6kc2Jmhs8k— Celtic Gossip (@CelticGossip) November 21, 2025
‘What a mess we’re in’ – As we’ve noted many times over the past few weeks. And yesterday we got no answers at all on so many questions supporters wanted to ask, including for any sort of update on where they are regarding appointing a new manager.
