Daizen Maeda’s emotional reaction to Celtic return

Daizen Maeda has said that he was moved by the reaction from the Celtic support as he returned to action. The Japanese attacker’s season appeared to be over after a hamstring injury against Rangers at Ibrox but in typical Maeda fashion, he defied expectations and got himself back fit.

Taking to Twitter/X, Maeda revealed that he was moved by the support from the stands as he made his return to action.

Celtic were excellent as they won 3-0 against Hearts to set up next weekend’s Glasgow Derby against theRangers. The return of Maeda is a huge boost for a number of reasons but specifically because of his ability to torment Rangers captain James Tavernier.

The atmosphere at Celtic Park was excellent and the manager will be keen that his side can continue this next weekend and set up an incredible end to the season.
