David Turnbull has revealed his hero and what inspires him to succeed as the Celtic midfielder was invited to take part in Celtic’s ‘Get to Know’ segment during their trip to Dubai. The former Motherwell midfielder has been an integral part of Neil Lennon’s side in recent weeks as the Scottish Champions have addressed an alarming slump in form.
Turnbull made his breakthrough in the Europa League ‘dead rubber’ against Lille. Since then he and Ismaila Soro have given Celtic’s midfield a new lease of life and despite the defeat to Rangers, he is confident Celtic can turn it around.
The midfielder was the subject of interest from Neil Lennon’s Celtic last year in what developed into a transfer saga. The player was even pictured in a Celtic top with Neil Lennon doing his interviews before a rare knee injury was found in the medical and forced to call the move off.
Nevertheless, Turnbull endeavoured to keep working in order to get fit again and he reaped the rewards as Celtic came in for him again. This time, there was no issues with the medical and the Scottish Champions sealed a deal bringing the Scotland U21 international from Motherwell to Paradise.
He should be a shining light for all young kids growing up highlighting the importance of hard work and dedication to a cause, whatever that may be.
