Dedryck Boyata – ‘Collective win tonight, congratulations to all the team!’ REACTION!

DEDRYCK BOYATA was back on social media last night for the first time since posting the video claiming that he was injured ahead of Celtic’s costly defeat in Athens which eliminated Celtic from this season’s Champions League.

Boyata returned to action for Celtic for the first time since the Scottish Cup Final win over Motherwell in May and was given a mixed reception by the Celtic support. However he turned in an excellent personal performance and even scored the all important match winning goal that means Celtic go into the Glasgow Derby next week a point ahead of Rangers rather than one behind them.

The match sponsors maybe tactfully decided to avoid controversy by awarding the Man of the Match to Moussa Dembele rather than Dedryck Boyata but it really should have been given to the Belgian if it was simply being judged on the 90 minutes of football at Celtic Park yesterday.

“Collective win tonight, congratulations to all the team!” Boyata wrote on Instagram. To be fair, it was brave of him going into his social media account again after the pelters he took on it last time he was on.

Let’s have a look at the reaction then…

“Keep your head high your our best defender by far we need you Hail Hail”

“Well done today. I didn’t boo you, however I assume it’s your last game. Good luck wherever you end up but your time at Celtic is up. Please move on and give us a fee at least.”

“Everyone was booing u and u scored everyone was chanting your name well done.”

“Sorry for the banner, it wasn’t meant for you so don’t leave.”

“Head up Dedryck. What a game you had yesterday, you were the best Celtic player out there.”

Collective win tonight, congratulations to all the team!
