Dembele Update: ‘C’est très compliqué avec le Celtic pour Moussa Dembélé,’ Jean-Michel Aulas

THE LYON President Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed that negotiations continued through the night and will resume today as Lyon try to conclude the capture of Moussa Dembele from Celtic.

The Lyon President has named Dembele as his number 1 target and intends to have him signed as a Lyon player before the transfer window closes tonight.

“C’est très compliqué avec le Celtic pour Moussa Dembélé. On va faire en sorte de bien négocier cette nuit et demain, et on espère que la raison l’emportera, que l’on aura un nouveau joueur pour terminer le mercato, ” Jean-Michel Aulas stated, roughly translating as this.

“It’s very complicated with Celtic for Moussa Dembélé. We will make sure that we negotiate well tonight and tomorrow, and we hope that the right outcome will prevail , that we will have a new player to complete the transfer window. ”

Do not be surprised if Moussa Dembele formally asks Celtic for a transfer this morning.

Celtic so far have REJECTED a formal offer of £20million for the player. Brendan Rodgers after the game last night – which Celtic won 3-0 – said that the player would NOT be sold in this window and this seems to have upset the player  see HERE.

However we broke the story a few nights ago that Lyon were preparing to go to £22.5million – meeting Celtic in the middle. Peter Lawwell is apparently  asking  for £25million.

Lawwell figures that Lyon are desperate and with so much player pressure now involved it is hard to imagine that Moussa Dembele will still be a Celtic player at midnight.
