Dundee United v Celtic: Don Roberston confirmed as referee

Don Robertson has been confirmed as the referee for Celtic’s trip to face Dundee United at Tannadice on Sunday. The 34-year-old will be joined by David Roome and Stuart Stevenson as his Assistants with Alan Newlands as Fourth Official.

It is a tricky away game for Ange Postecoglou’s side but given that the club have already overcome a tough run of away games, they will be confident that they have enough to beat United if they turn up on Sunday afternoon. Celtic drew 1-1 against the Tannadice outfit when the sides met earlier this season. United are currently Fourth in the table and have impressed since Tam Courts took over as manager in the summer. Despite some concerns that the game wouldn’t go ahead due to storm damage, the club have confirmed that the match can go ahead albeit with the closure of the Jerry Kerr Stand – meaning Celtic fans will be locked out.

Rangers will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table this afternoon but Celtic’s focus must remain on tomorrow and beating the Tannadice outfit.
