Elhamed starts against Saints

NEIL Lennon has named his side for today’s opening league fixture against St Johnstone at a sunny Celtic Park.

Bain returns to the goalkeeping duties and with Simunovic and Jullien both suspended Bitton and Ajer play with new signings Elhamed and Bolingoli at full backs.

In midfield Scott Brown plays alongside McGregor and Christie. The wide players are Forrest and Johnston and Edouard is the striker.

Substitutes are Gordon, Ralston, Hayes, Ntcham, Morgan and Griffiths.

Celtic fans will be getting to their seats early to be in place to see the widows of Billy McNeill and Stevie Chalmers unfurl the Premiership flag at 2.55pm – the eighth season in a row the flag has been proudly flying over Paradise. Long may it continue.
